Batik Artwork
Form 6 recently completed their art unit exploring the vibrant Tingatinga art movement, which originated in Tanzania, East Africa. Inspired by its bold colours, striking patterns and depictions of African wildlife, the pupils not only created beautiful paintings but also produced these stunning batik pieces using hot wax and fabric dyes.
The batik process required great care and creativity, with each colour carefully mixed and blended to achieve the rich, vivid tones seen in their final work. The results are truly brilliant and capture the spirit of Africa superbly. Amazing work, Form 6!
