Almost all those who sit the 11+ (Kent Test) - and/or common entrance entrance exams - pass, before they move on to one of the many excellent grammar or independent secondary school in the area. This achievement is a testament to their exceptional talent and hard work.

As one of the few, and the only independent school in Kent to offer accredited Values-based education, the children who attend Hilden Oaks are offered a unique inspirational learning environment, which enhances pupils’ academic attainment and supports children in developing strong social and interpersonal skills.

Children at Hilden Oaks are constantly challenged in order to stretch themselves to try new things and set themselves new targets. The value of perseverance is taught to encourage them to ‘keep on keeping on’ enabling them to reach their full potential.

Every pupil has an opportunity to represent the school, both against other schools and in inter-house matches. Most importantly, sport is about participation and enjoyment. At Hilden Oaks our aim is to provide a meaningful programme of physical activities to inspire, motivate, guide, recognise and support all children to reach their full potential. 

Every child is given the opportunity to perform in a musical drama production each year. These performances not only give the children a chance to shine on stage but also help them develop valuable skills in confidence, collaboration and communication.

At Hilden Oaks, we actively look for opportunities to boost pupils’ confidence. When the children complete their Hilden Oaks journey, we inspire them to have confidence in their own abilities, as well as their potential to achieve anything they put their minds to. We achieve this by providing numerous opportunities for pupils to showcase their talents simultaneously encouraging them to voice their thoughts and opinions.

Class sizes are purposefully kept small to provided more personalised attention, fostering an improved academic performance and stronger pupil-teacher relationships.
