Sevenoaks Science

On Tuesday Form One had a fantastic opportunity to attend a Royal Institution "Energy Live" show hosted by Sevenoaks School as part of their STEAM week.  

Butane rockets, exploding cans and even a surprising banana, were all used to demonstrate different energy stores in this wonderfully interactive show.  We were delighted that a child in Form One was selected to help with one of the experiments. Standing on the big stage in front of a packed auditorium, not knowing what the task would be, she showed her HO values beautifully as she held the ethanol fire bubbles aloft for all to see.  Form One left the show fizzing with scientific curiosity and pride for their brave friend.
