Hilden Oaks is among the first schools in Kent to sign up to parkrun primary, a new initiative launched this autumn in partnership with the London Marathon Foundation to support children's health and wellbeing. Mr Hardwick and Mrs Hawker have been instrumental in signing Hilden Oaks up for parkrun primary thanks to their involvement in parkrun over a number of years, both as participants and volunteers.
Steve Camacho, Outreach Officer for parkrun UK and Amanda Miller, Event Director for Tonbridge junior parkrun, were also delighted to speak to the children, inspiring them with words of encouragement and a few 'warm up' exercises as a taster.
