Learning From Our Community

We were delighted to welcome Asif Khan to talk to the children about the role he plays in our community and the values he uses to run his local business; Cake Box, Tonbridge.  Asif spoke about the hard work, resilience and integrity that are so fundamental to a successful business and his love of egg-free, fresh cake!  

Pupils asked a variety of well-considered questions; from what it takes to set up a business, to what challenges he has faced along the way.  Ultimately, Asif’s kindness really shone through, so whether you are looking for a little Cheesecake Sundae after school, have a large celebration or just want to say 'hello', Asif will be there to welcome you. We hope he will be a familiar face on our high-street for many more years to come.

Form 3 will be visiting the shop for a workshop later this term, and we look forward to seeing their creations.
