IAPS Art Compeition

A talented group of our young artists have spent the past month giving up their breaktimes to create incredible pieces for submission to two national competitions: the Royal Academy’s Young Artists Competition and the IAPS iART Competition.
This year’s theme, “Contrast,” inspired a wide range of imaginative ideas—from contrasting feelings and ideas to explorations of texture and colour. The creativity and dedication shown by the children has been truly inspiring.

While the Royal Academy allows us to submit all pupils’ work, the IAPS iART competition requires schools to send only a limited number of pieces. To ensure a fair selection, we invited a panel of external judges: local illustrator and graphic designer Matthew Syms, Natalie O’Millervan, who works with one of the country’s leading theatrical mask and puppet-making companies, and Dr Rosemary Moore, Professor of Art History at UCLA.They were absolutely blown away by the standard of work and said it was no easy task to narrow it down!

Congratulations to our pupil winners whose artwork will represent Hilden Oaks in the iART competition. We wish them the very best of luck and look forward to the results in May.
