CCT Day - Treasure

Our recent CCT Day (Creative Curriculum Time) was a truly special event filled with discovery, creativity and collaboration, all centred around the theme of 'treasure'. Working in mixed-age groups, pupils ventured across a wide range of exciting, cross-curricular activities that helped them explore what treasure really means.

From floating pirate ships in science to crafting 3D maps of magical journeys, the children were fully immersed in imaginative learning. They wrote heartfelt poetry about their personal treasures, built a beautiful quilt of treasured memories, and explored religious artefacts to understand the meaning of sacred treasures across cultures.

Mindfulness sessions encouraged children to reflect on their own ‘inner treasures’, while others went on real and virtual treasure hunts – solving clues in French, unearthing historical artefacts, or programming treasure-filled mazes in Scratch. Pirate dances, storytelling, and creative modelling added even more sparkle to the day.
