SUNNY SKIES AND PANDA EYES
Les Menuires Skiing Trip Easter 2017
A group of 21 Hilden Oaks children, parents and staff spent a sunny week skiing in Les Menuires during the Easter holidays. The group had a fabulous time, with fun-packed days and evenings, and with all the children passing their different ski school levels.
Described as “the best trip ever” by Eleanor, the children attended morning and afternoon sessions at ski school, freeing up parents to ski elsewhere in the Trois Vallees. Everyone returned to the hotel for delicious evening meals. Apres ski activities included a quiz, bum boarding, board games, and a hair-raising ride on “Speed Mountain” (with Harry ignoring the brake, to give Mr Johnston a slightly more exhilarating ride than he had anticipated).
The trip will be remembered for laughter, hot chocolate, skiing across puddles (the sun turned the slopes rather slushy in the afternoons) and the fantastic towel creations created every morning at room inspection.
Thanks go to Mrs Sizer and Mr Johnston for their fantastic organisational skills and their can-do attitude.
