Bring a Bear to School for Slide Away Charity

Today, we have been raising awareness and funds for Slide Away - a small Kent (UK) based charity, which helps bereaved young people get back on their feet.

As the symbol of Slide Away is a teddy bear, the Hilden Oaks children and staff were invited to bring in their nearest and dearest bears or cuddly toys, in return for a small donation. We are delighted to report that the bears were all extremely well behaved and loved sitting quietly watching the children work. Kindergarten also enjoyed a special 'teddy bear's picnic' on the lawn.
