IAPS Orchestral Day at Benenden

Earlier this week, members of the School Orchestra in Forms 4 & 5, took part in an IAPS Orchestral Day at Benenden School.

Following a similar 'singing day for massed-choir' last year, the Kent district music leaders set themselves the challenge of organising a day for instrumentalists, and so the ‘IAPS Orchestral Day’ was born. Over 150 pupils from 13 schools all over Kent attended, representing all the instruments of the orchestra.

The Hilden Oaks pupils who attended were an absolute credit to the School. Mrs Gomez, our Head of Music, was extremely proud of them all, not only on the day itself, but in all the preparations and rehearsals beforehand.
