WW2 Memories

Last week, Mrs Brodie visited the children in Form 6 as part of their history topic, to share her childhood memories from WW2. Mrs Brodie was aged seven at the start of the war and thirteen when it finished, so of a similar age during the middle years, to the Form 6 children now. She told them about how her family had moved around in order to stay safe, what her father did, as well as about rationing, schooling, sheltering, friendships and ways they entertained themselves. The children were really interested to learn more and asked lots of thoughtful questions.
