Olympic Opening Ceremony
With "The Olympics" being our Creative Curriculum time subject this term, all the children at Hilden Oaks performed at our very own Olympic Opening Ceremony.
The ceremony was carefully choreographed by Mrs Sizer to include all the children in the school. It was a colourful and fun climax to a busy term - entertaining the parents, and giving the children a chance to showcase their dancing, gymnastic and musical abilities.
Highlights of the morning were the year group dances, portraying different countries, as well as the Samba performance by Years 3 and 4 led by Mrs Flawn. The gymnastics displays were varied and energetic.
The whole school sang "Go the Distance" from Hercules together at the close of the ceremony, to signify that with effort and courage comes success.
