Years 2 and 6 spent a day in Victorian England on 1st December
The children travelled to Kent Life in Maidstone to take part in various educational workshops, gaining a deeper insight into life in the 1800s.
There were some fabulous period costumes, with Michael making a very fine Victorian Gentleman, and Mia a fabulous Victorian lady.
The children explored the differences between modern day and Victorian toys, and played Victorian games. Other highlights of the day included meeting Charles Dickens and performing “A Christmas Carol” in 20 minutes, and making lace lanterns. A memorable day for all the participants.
