About UsParent's PagesAdmissionsLearning is designed to be easy and natural at all stages of Pre-School.
Children in our nursery and pre-school enjoy an exceptional level of staffing care with a high ratio of staff to children in an environment specially constructed to stimulate and encourage child curiosity. In a gradual process children are prepared for full time education, giving them an advantage when they reach the more formal classroom environment.
Nursery
In our Nursery, very young children (3 months to 2 years) are guaranteed individual attention because we maintain very high staffing ratios at all times. By combining all the facilities required for professional care within a home-like environment, we provide exceptional levels of care.
Pre School
Kindergarten (2 to 3 years) and then Transition (3 to 4 years) provide early socialisation and learning through play. In this Foundation Stage, children begin to explore the wider world in the company of their peers and form their first friendships. By the time they leave transition, they have the security and confidence to move on to more structured learning.
Options for parents and children in Pre-School are flexible, with a choice of session times. Children can attend for full or part days, arriving from 8am onwards and the after-school Acorn Club extends the day through to 5.30 pm.
Parent, Baby and Toddler Group
We also hold a Parent, Baby and Toddler Group every Friday morning during term times and school holidays. Free of charge and open to all, this is an ideal way to introduce your child to Hilden Oaks Pre-School. Read our School Society section for more information.
Holiday Clubs
We recognise that many of our parents work and that some families need reliable child care outside of school term times. Our Holiday Clubs run during the school holidays to provide that additonal care.
